Configuring your NEC system for Daylight Saving Time

NEC 824

  1. Press FNC
  2. Dial 9# (You can use the # and * to move the cursor to desired position)
  3. Hour setting: Dial 1, 0
  4. Minute setting: Dial 1, 5
  5. AM/PM setting: Press RECALL Key
  6. Press HOLD key for setting the Calendar
  7. Month Setting: Dial 0, 2
  8. Day Setting: Dial 0, 9
  9. Day of the Week Setting: Dial 1 (digits 0 - 6) *** SEE NOTE
  10. Year Setting: Dial 1, 9, 8, 8
  11. Press FNC

*** NOTE: The days of the week are entered by the corresponding numbers:

0: Sunday
1: Monday
2: Tuesday
3: Wednesday
4: Thursday
5: Friday
6: Saturday

NEC Elite / Pro I / Pro II / IPK/192/48

Set-up, Must be done at main Phone/Console. Handset Must be in the cradle.

  1. Press FNC or Feature Button
  2. Dial 9#
  3. Enter Hour and Minute via dial pad
  4. Press RECALL to change AM/PM Setting
  5. Press HOLD to change the Calendar setting or press FNC to exit programming
  6. Press RECALL to select day of the week
  7. Dial # to move cursor to day of month field
  8. Enter Day of month via dial pad
  9. Press RECALL to select Month
  10. Dial # to move cursor to year field
  11. Enter last 2 digits of the year via dial pad
  12. Press FNC of Feature button to Exit programming

NEC IPK 2 and NEC SV8100

Note: The Date must be set in system programming (10-01).

To Set the Time:

  1. Press the Speaker Key
  2. Dial 728
  3. Dial two digits for the hour (24 hour cloak, 13 = 1:00 PM)
  4. Dial two digits for the minutes (00~59)
  5. Press Speaker to Hang up

NEC 1400 & 2000 (older models)

Steps Display
1. With Phone Idle, dial TRF HOLD * TRF HOLD # CAT MODE
2. Press Speaker COMMAND
3. Press 03 ANS 03>
4. Press 0 ANS 03>0:-
5. Dial 1234 HOLD OK
6. Press Speaker Key Command=
7. Press 02 ANS 02>

Change Year:
8. Press 0 ANS 02>0:1999-
9. Dial Current year
10. Press HOLD OK
11. Lift and Hang up Handset

Change Date:
8. Press 1 ANS 02>1:MM/DD/Weekday- (12/07 Mond-)
9. Dial Date
(01 for January, 05 for the 5th, 01 Monday, 02 Tuesday, etc)
10. Press HOLD OK
11. Lift and Hang up Handset

Change Time:
8. Press 2 ANS 02>2:HHMMSS (current time)
9. Dial the Current time, in Military time (24 hour clock)
10. Press Hold
11. Lift and Hang up Handset

NEC 1400 & 2000 (newer models)

Steps Display
1. With Phone Idle, dial Feature Conf * Feature Conf# CAT MODE
2. Press Redial COMMAND
3. Press 03 Recall 03>
4. Press 0 Recall 03>0:-
5. Dial 1234 Conf OK
6. Press Redial Command=
7. Press 02 Recall 02>

Change Year:
8. Press 0 Recall 02>0:1999-
9. Dial Current year
10. Press Conf OK
11. Lift and Hang up Handset

Change Date:
8. Press 1 Recall 02>1:MM/DD/Weekday- (12/07 Mond-)
9. Dial Date
(01 for January, 05 for the 5th, 01 Monday, 02 Tuesday, etc)
10. Press Conf OK
11. Lift and Hang up Handset

Change Time:
8. Press 2 Recall 02>2:HHMMSS (current time)
9. Dial the Current time, in Military time (24 hour clock)

NEC 1400 & 2000 - From Attendant Console

  1. Press LOOP Key
  2. Press PROG Key (top row, second button)
  3. Display = Password
  4. Enter Password = 12345678
  5. Press CLOCK (top row, third button)
  6. Enter 12 Digit Clock information
    • MT DY DW HH MM SS
    • Month (01 - 12)
    • Day (01-31)
    • Day of the Week (00 - 06 = Sun – Sat)
    • Hour (00 - 23)
    • Minute (00 - 59)
    • Seconds (00 - 59)
  7. Press ANS
  8. Press RLS
